First Financial Wellness Forum, February 2007

The Seminar, Employee Financial Indebtedness in South Africa – a corporate social responsibility, was organized by GTZ in collaboration with the University of Pretoria Law Clinic. A total of 38 people attended the Seminar.

Garnishee orders employers' guide published by GTZ

A guide that is intended  for use by human resources maangers on the proper administration of Emoluments Attachment Orders (EAOs) is the latest addition to the FWF's toolkit.
The Guide is based on an earlier study carried out by the UP Law Clinic (published in Ocotober 2008) and is presented in a simple and concise manner to highlight how employers could identify and avoid unlawful EAOs.

Study on irregularities concerning "garnishee orders" published by GTZ

A research study on the incidence and undesirable practices relating to garnishee orders in SA was published by GTZ in October 2008. The study was conducted by the University of Pretoria Law Clinic and presented to paricipants of the 3rd Financial Wellness Seminar which was conducted on November 14, 2008.

Book on employee financial wellness published by GTZ

The current global "credit crunch" is one proof of the strong link between personal and business financial wellness.
As part of the GTZ-BMW SA partnership on employee financial wellness, GTZ recently published a book entitled Employee financial wellness: A corporate social responsibility which will be avaialable in printed-version from mid December 2008. The book comprises eight different feature articles and four good-practice case studies which were put together by sixteen contributing authors drawn from South Africa, Germany and the USA.

Third Financial Wellness Forum Seminar took place on November 14, 2008

The third  Financial Wellness Seminar, which was jointly organised by the GTZ and the NCR, successfully took place on November 14, 2008 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, South Africa.
A total of 82 participants drawn from the private sector, government organisations, academia and civil society attended the Seminar whose theme was Business and employee financial wellness: Time for collective action.

Second Financial Wellness Forum Seminar took place on August 8, 2007

The GTZ in cooperation with the Centre for Corporate Citizenship (CCC) of the University of South Africa hosted a seminar on (Employee) Financial Wellness Forum. The forum took place on the 8th of August 2007 at the UNISA School of Business Leadership in Midrand.
